Where is Whitney Oaks?

Whitney Oaks is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, not far from the original path of the Transcontinental Railroad, and the California Gold Country. In the city of Rocklin, it is approximately 90 minutes from San Francisco, and about 90 minutes to Lake Tahoe, and the internationally renowned ski resorts at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and North Star.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to Lake Tahoe, recreation can be found in the hills and rivers of the Gold Country, from Folsom Lake's water skiing, sailing, and fishing, to equestrian trails going from Auburn all the way to Homewood. The North, Middle, and South forks of the American River, where gold was discovered at Coloma, provides all kinds of recreation, including some outstanding river rafting.
