Value of owning a home

    1. Control your own destiny - Tired of living in someone else's home? Whether its an apartment, condo, or a home, you are at the mercy of the landlord. Every day holds the possibility of the property being sold, the rent going up, or the landlord refusing to maintain the property. Owning your own home gives you control.

    2. Tax advantages - Do you pay tons of taxes? Who doesn't? Well property owners can deduct the interest portion of each payment from their taxable income. You can also deduct the property taxes. Essentially, Uncle Sam AND your state help you make the payments.

    3. Homes generally appreciate in value. This is a great way to build a nest egg. If you need money for some unforeseen crisis, you can borrow your equity in the property. You can also use your home equity to purchase things.

Help from lenders and agents

    Don't know how to buy a home?  I recommend that you call me. I bought my first home when I was 21 years old, and still remember what a mystery it was. Fortunately, I had a great Realtor who helped me. He helped me understand real estate, he helped me get owner-financing, and he even came over and helped me fix the place up. I still remember how much value he brought to the process. I'll do the same for you.

    One of the many things I'll do is educate you on financing. The banks and mortgage brokers like to think you need them first, but let me help you find a good mortgage broker, or banker, who's honest and will not sell you a loan that you'll regret.

    Finally, I will help you find a home you can afford, and one that will have a good chance of appreciating. Real estate is not magic, but experience helps you sort the good ones from the bad ones, and identify the real 'golden nuggets'.
